Cars 2
Cars 2 takes us on another saga with Lightning McQueen and his best friend Tow Mater as they enter the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. In this James Bond-like film, Tow Mater gets to take the lead role as he gets caught up in an adventure of his own. Filled with nifty gadgets and spyware, Cars 2 takes us on an exciting journey in which “Mater” helps defeat a villain attempting to take over the world. Because of its espionage theme, the plot definitely went over the heads of my four-year old and two-year old. Cars 2 was more fun for my husband and me, though a large bucket of popcorn and box of junior mints made it an instant hit with my kids. Cars 2 gets four stars, and I recommend it to families with children ages 8 and up.

Haven’t seen the movies, but for Cars fans, hear’s some news for you: Disney’s California Adventure is building a Cars land. I could see Radiator Springs under construction when I was visiting last week.
My youngest is a Cars fan. When we make it to LA, we’ll be sure to visit. Though I did read your comment on how pricey Adventure Land is. I will probably opt to take him separately.
The Cars area is scheduled to open in 2012. The Radiator Springs ride looks like it will be fun. If you make a trip to Disneyland and stay multiple days, there are passes that get you into both parks. But if you have only one day in Anaheim and have time for only one park, right now you will want to skip California Adventure and stick with Disneyland, because Disneyland has a lot more going on.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep that in mine.
